INSTRUMENT CARE
Care + Reprocessing Guidance
Select a topic below for general guidance on cleaning, reprocessing, handling, and storage.
CLEANING
Remove visible residue promptly after use using the cleaning method specified for the instrument. Avoid allowing product or biological debris to dry on the working surfaces.
REPROCESSING
Reprocess the instrument according to the validated instructions supplied with the product and the infection-control requirements that apply to your practice. Do not assume that a disinfectant, sterilization method, temperature, or exposure time is compatible unless it is specifically supported for the instrument.
HANDLING
Protect the working ends from impact, bending, abrasion, and contact with hard surfaces or other instruments that could damage the geometry or finished skin-contact surface.
STORAGE
Allow the instrument to dry fully after reprocessing and store it in the protective storage provided or another clean, dry environment that protects the working ends from contact and damage.
